The Voice Goes Pink!

On Thursday, October 4th, a special edition of The CEA Voice will go out to the 4500 members of the Columbus Education Association dedicated to active and retired Association members who are Breast Cancer survivors. The pink-themed special edition showcases the inspirational stories of four current and former CCS teachers who are survivors of the disease.

If you or your families or friends are interested in joining the fight against Breast Cancer, consider joining other members of CEA and their families as a participant in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K Walk. The event will kick off at 10 a.m. on Sunday, October 14th at COSI on 333 West Broad Street. Visit the CEA Website to find out how to register; you can even register the day of the event. For further questions,  contact Staff Consultant Ezetta Murray at CEA through email or by phone at 253-4731.

I am very proud to be a member and representative of the Columbus Education Association. CEA’s committment to fighting breast cancer is impressive. CEA recognizes while our primary goal is the education of children, it is also important for us to be involved in our community. My grandmother passed away when I was 16 years old of breast cancer. This issue is near and dear to me. Thank you CEA for joining the fight against breast cancer.
