Buckeye Institute for Public Policy Solutions President David Hansen seems to think so. After a recent press conference where CEA President Rhonda Johnson alleged a “clear pattern of political campaign coordination” between the campaign of Republican challenger Bill Todd and the conservative think tank, Hansen commented “The Buckeye Institute will not be intimidated by union bullies who seek to silence opposing points of view.”
Your Association alleges that Todd and the Buckeye Institute shared documents prior to and after the filing of the lawsuit against the Columbus City Schools, a move that could constitute an illegal act on the part of the Buckeye Institute. As a result, the Columbus Education Association has asked the IRS to review the tax-exempt status of the Buckeye Institute based on the allegations of political involvement between Todd and the think tank.
