TBS Columbus Board of Education Endorsements

Recently, there have been questions raised why Teachers For Better Schools (the political action arm of your association) only endorsed three candidates for the Columbus Board of Education for a total of five open seats.

 CEA President Rhonda Johnson said:

“We are putting our resources and energy behind candidates who don’t have name recognition and putting our energy into supporting them,” she said. “We selected the candidates we believe will best support the Columbus Public Schools.”

You can read the rest of the article in the Northland News, along with more information about the letter regarding the Buckeye Institute sent to the IRS by the leadership of your Association.

After learning about what “Teachers for Better Schools” does for us as a district at our last District CEA meeting I gladly joined up. I signed up to have $5 taken from each pay. Little money to support an association that does so much for us.
