Columbus City School Roundup

The results from the Columbus Board of Education race have people talking, writers writing, candidates musing and even the Germans are blogging about it! (Translation required).

Superintendent Harris and Treasurer Michael Kinneer were given a 11% and 6% pay raise respectively at the last Board meeting.

Illicit images still make it onto the screens of many school districts’ computers, says this article….video from the report can be found here. CCS declined to participate in the media investigation.

Class sizes are up in CCS high schools…as charter school losses shrink.

Negotiations Update #1

The 50 plus members of the Columbus Education Association Negotiations Team met for the first time for the upcoming round of bargaining, attending their first training meeting on Wednesday, November 7th. The team’s training will continue throughout the month of December. Stay posted for further details regarding the upcoming events surrounding negotiations.
